![]() The problem is that invasion strength of both Mants (numbers) and Goblins (numbers and equipment) is based on your total kingdom worth. On normal this is every other day I believe. Well so far the mant invasion mechanic, the goblin invasion mechanic is simpler, it just happens at regular intervals, depending on your difficulty settings (attack rate setting). You can even get it right after a goblin invasion, or just before one if you are really unlucky. The invasion time is also not set, but can be early or later during the day. When you let it run of, the next day you will get a Mant invasion. It will stay around until sunset and then rush off to a despawn point, usually somewhere at an open map edge. It can arrive as early as the sunrise to as late as close to sunset (I seen it arrive an hour before sunset). Mants always send a scout, mostly each day but some days it does not show up it seems. The problem is not the Mants, unless you have the setting that increases enemy strength over time on. You later on open up to let newcomers or merchants in, only to be invaded by an even stronger army of mants or goblins, and because you walled in you are now even in more trouble. Everyone probably goes through this phase at some point I think. ![]() I had the same issues with Mants in my early games, usually being able to fend of the goblins but losing many gnomes to Mant invasions to the point where you start walling yourself in to survive. Thats indeed what I wrote about mants on another thread, I think currently the Mants are more balanced than the Goblins right now.
